Smooth on Olive Oil

This Italian kitchen staple has anti-inflammatory properties that don't just benefit you on the inside, but they soften your skin as well. When applied on skin, olive oil gives you smoother and more radiant skin. And consuming it provides antioxidants to disarm free radicals and reduce inflammation. Note that, inflammation is not just linked to diseases, it is also a major cause of wrinkling and sagging in the skin. Aside from adding it in your diet, you may apply it as a lip gloss and as a skin soother. Dab a pea-size amount of oil to hydrate lips, or use it on rough patches, like your elbows, knees and heels, as needed.

For snacks, try this: put a few drops of extra-virgin olive oil into a small bowl, and dip whole-grain bread in it to improve your skin from inside out.

Great advice. A drop of olive oil is also good for dry scalp. I've been using olive for that purpose for years. Of course, a drop of mineral oil will work as well, and it won't cost nearly as much as many of the other "brand name" product.

Happy trails.

I've been using olive oil as a nightly moisturizer for awhile now, and I've noticed an improvement in my skin. It's awesome :)

I've never tried using olive oil as a moisturizer. They're so yummy, I'd rather have it on my food! hehe~ Thanks for sharing this info.
