Tie Shopping

Since the men in my family (dad and hubs) never worked in a corporate office, I'm no good when it comes to shopping for mens ties. I had to ask for my cousin's help when I had to get one for my son for his confirmation. Men in my family would rather wear the traditional Barong Tagalog when attending formal functions. They say it's more comfortable than wearing a suit. Can't blame them, in this heat, a three-piece suit is not advisable.

I know what you mean. The first time my hubby had to wear a tie, we googled on the internet for step by step instructions. It was not easy at all!

I've learned that it should compliment the color of the suit yet stand out a bit much like jewelry does for women. There should be class on tie selection taught in schools :D
