Photohunt - Hard-To-Find
I was fascinated by fireflies when I was a kid. My siblings and I would catch and place them in a jar, watch them for a while and release them again. Nowadays, fireflies are hard to find. I feel a little sad that my kids didn't get to enjoy them like my siblings and I did.
Happy weekend people! Drop by tnchick's to view the different takes on this theme.

I use to do that too Liza and you are right. I hadn't thought about it but they are hard to find now.
When I was a kid they were all over the place. We couldn't wait to go outside and catch them!!
Happy weekend,
Jackie:-)
Wow! they are utterly delightful. I wish there were fireflies in my neck of the world
They are so beautiful, such a shame they are so hard to find now! Enjoy your weekend.
I have not seen a real firefly in my life! That shows how hard it is to find them in a city. :)
this is a treat for me. never seen them in person - that's how hard to find they are.
oh, so true! i haven't seen a firefly in a long time, especially in the city. love your take on the theme.:p
Have you seen "Fireflies, River of Light"? It's a 2003 Japanese film about a school teacher who embarks on a project with his students to clean up a river so that the fireflies will return to the area...

Highly recommended -- and I'm sure you can find copies of the movie on home video with English subtitles. :)

What a lovely capture :) Fireflies are magical :)
I've always loved fireflies too. Great shot for the theme.
I wish my kids could play with them too, but where we live is a bit too dry for them.
