Corn Tames Tension


Feeling tensed?  Eat corn!  The sweet gems are rich in thiamine, which is known as the anti-stress vitamin.  That's because the B vitamin helps maintain the health of cells in the central nervous system, improving the body's ability to cope with stressful events.  Thiamine also plays a key role in the synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that governs memory and alertness.
