Safeguard Heart with Red Wine

The resveratrol in this sip helps reduce the production of heart-damaging inflammatory compounds by 26 percent. Not a fan of wines? Here's a yummy way to enjoy it.



Ingredients:
  • 1 sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 jar [1 lb., 8 oz.] tomato basil or olive oil-garlic pasta sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked Spanish paprika
  • pre-cooked turkey or chicken meatballs
In medium saucepot coated with garlic-flavored cooking spray over medium heat, cooked chopped pepper 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Add red wine. Cook 1 minute more. Stir in pasta sauce and smoked paprika. Add meatballs. Cover; let simmer 10 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
