Stop the Sneezing

My kids have allergies with pollen and there are times that they just won't stop from sneezing, especially during mornings. They also have runny nose and itching eyes. This allergy is also known as hay fever and is caused by pollens of some plants, dust particles and air chemicals. I've read that this allergy is seasonal but it is possible to suffer from hay fever throughout the year. Their doctor suggested we buy an air purifier. It is a device which removes contaminants from air and it will help a lot to make them feel better. One of the most important functions of an air purifier is its ability to remove pollutants such as cigarette smoke, dust, pollen, mold, and pet dander from the air.

I found EcoQuest International fresh air purifier in the internet and I am so glad I bought one. Since we used it, there were no more sneezing, runny nose and itching eyes. The kids are feeling a lot better now. So, if anyone in your family has this allergy, I suggest you get one too.

What to do with swollen legs

Swollen legs are sometimes caused by standing for a long time or sometimes, hours of running errands. When we do these things, there is a fluid build up in our legs called edema. The gravity prevents the fluid from getting pumped to the kidneys giving our legs a thick appearance. I found out from one article a simple way to relieve this. Simply lie on the floor and elevate your legs by resting them on a chair. Rotate your ankles for 2 minutes then massage your calves in the direction of your heart for 2 minutes. According to research, this simple and easy trick can ease fluid build up within 30 minutes. I have tried it and it worked!

The Bloat

Do you sometimes feel bloated? The summer heat is on and you tend to drink too much water to keep you refreshed all day, then you end up feeling bloated. Say goodbly to the bloat, a ginger-infused bath is what you need. It quickly deflates areas prone to puffiness. Ginger has antioxidants called gingerols and shagoals, these, infused in warm water enter the fatty layer under the skin and flush the fat-trapping toxins. Ginger also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that relieve achy muscles.

For your bath, pour 1 cup of grated fresh ginger into the foot of an old clean panty hose [thin sock and cheese cloth may be used also] Tie it and drop into a tub of warm or lukewarm water, infuse the ginger for 5 minutes then soak for 20 minutes.

Bad Hair Day

Whether you like it or not, summer is here. Just a few weeks ago we had chilly mornings, now you start feeling the heat. If your hair hates warm weather and frizzes every time you step outside, here's the trick. This goes well with short hair, try to lightly run an ice cube over your hair after styling. The chill will seal the open cuticles of your hair that cause them to frizz making your style stay put.
