1998: We were still staying in our old house. It is where I grew up. I miss that house, too bad we had to sell it to pay up some loans.

I've been tagged by two wonderful ladies Marzie and Constance to help spread the awareness on the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ month of June. I've had a friend who suffered from it and died two years ago. I knew it was so hard for her then and for her whole family. I also have the pink button on my left side bar so you can come back everyday and click on the button.

• The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman's mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.
• Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, delaying pregnancy until after age 30 or never becoming pregnant, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.
• Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.
• Ninety-six percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.
• Over eighty percent of breast lumps are not cancerous, but benign such as fibrocystic breast disease.
• You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.

For my chosen category... it's Music. I grew up in the 80's and I was a fan of Duran Duran.

A Day in My Life

Maiylah wants to know my daily routine, so she tagged me. Thanks sis!

What time do you usually wake up?
I wake up really late. I'm up at about 11 because I work on my blogs during the wee hours of the morning.

What’s the first thing you do?
Wash up and have lunch.

Breakfast?
Breakfast and lunch is the same for me.

Do you go to work/school?
I work at home.

Do you like it?
I don't like it... I love it!

If you stay at home, what do you do all day?
After having lunch, I'm off to the store. The store is open till 12 midnight so it takes up most of my time.

When’s lunch and what you eatin’?
Lunch is usually between 11 am 12 pm. We usually have fish and vegetables during lunch and meat during dinner since everyone's at home during supper.

What time do you get home from work/school?
Ditto with Maiylah I am always at home … hahaha.

What do you do?
Take care of the family and the store.

Dinner: When and what?
Dinner is at 7 pm sharp, as I've mentioned earlier we usually have meat on the table.

What do you do to unwind?
Blogging and reading.

What is your favorite part of the day?
After dinner, the whole family watch tv. And during weekends and school vacations, after the store closes we have midnight snacks together.

Who’s your favorite person to interact with?
Hubby, the kids and lokii ( the family pet).

When’s bedtime?
Bedtime is 6-7 am after the kids have left for school.

Who’s bedtime with?
My hubby.
