Loud and Clear

A good way to keep our hearing crystal clear is to use cotton swabs to rid our ears of wax buildup, right? WRONG! These swabs does just the opposite. It pushes the wax down into the ear canal and can diminish your hearing. Instead of inserting the swab inside your ear canal, simply wipe the opening with the swab. Or just leave your ears alone so wax can dry up and fall out on its own.

That is a great informative post. Many of my patients thought that they could just use cotton swabs to "clean" out their ears. Keep up the great work with your articles and please stop by my health blog sometime. The web address is http://healthy-nutrition-facts.blogspot.com/.

I also Qtip my ears. It's such a bad habit. If I don't qtip after I shower, they feel wet and I can't stand it! But I don't force the stick in too far inside the ears.
