Did you know that you cut back the risk of heart disease by 25% if you take vitamin C supplements? Scientists have a new fresh look at the C. They found new ways on how the mighty C can help us stay healthy and look and feel younger. Here's a list of what the C can do for us...
1. PREVENT WRINKLES. The antioxidants in vitamin C helps turn back the clock. It helps form collagen which smooths fine lines and wrinkles.
2. PROTECT YOUR HEART. Taking more than 700 mg of C supplements daily reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by 25%. Women who take a combo of 500 mg of Vitamin C and 600 IU of Vitamin E daily can cut their stroke risk by 30%.
3. KEEP CANCER AT BAY. A diet full of vitamin C rich fruits and veggies is not only good for your heart. It may also lower risks of bladder, esophagus, stomach and lung cancers.
4. BOOST BRAIN POWER. The combination of C and E is smart for another reason, research shows it may lessen Alzheimer's risks by as much as 64%. The high fat content in the brain makes it vulnerable for free radicals but the C's antioxidants may act as shields.
5. SAVE YOUR EYESIGHT. The C can't prevent the need for reading glasses around age 45 but it can help prevent one of the leading causes of blindness, AMD or age-related macular degeneration.
6. HELP YOU LIVE LONGER. I am sure you know by now that green tea protects our body from toxins which contribute to cancer, stroke and heart attack. When you add citrus juices [lemon, lime, orange or calamansi] to green tea, it revs up the immunity-boosting power of the tea.

Vitamin C doesn't only act as antioxidants but also strengthens our resistance to infections and lowers levels of blood cholesterol.
You might have received the I Love Your Blog Award sometime in the past but I still want to pass this on to you. Please grab it when you have free time.
Thanks.
Have a great day!
there's no reason for it, no conceivable evidence for why it should work - but a dog's brain can't grok the placebo effect, and a good many people have found that when tired old fido gets a good sized dose of vitamin c he walks better for the next couple of days.
