Not many of you know that Joel of Big Boys Have Toys Too and Life's A Pizza Pie is my husband. We both would like to ask for your prayers, his aunt was rushed to the hospital last Friday, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, stage four. This is really sad news for us as she was like a mother to my husband. Nanay Ats is 74, she's never been married and has no kids of her own. This morning my MIL informed us that she had a fever and that she's not conscious anymore. Her doctor said, she could leave us anytime. Please pray for her, that she won't suffer much and if is she has to go and join our Creator, that she goes in peace.
Thanks to all of you.

Her condition remains the same, she's been going in and out of consciousness. Her doctor have placed a machine to ease her pain and she's no longer taking in food. All we are waiting for is time.

Her condition has worsened. She asked to be brought home. Her doctor has informed the family that she has barely a week left. Her breathing is shallow and reduced to gasps. She cannot recognize us anymore and she often lapses into unconsciousness. She no longer speaks and can only move her hands. We have accepted her fate and it is just a matter of time before she leaves us. We're praying that she goes peacefully.
Joel and I would like to thank all of you who have shared your prayers and love.

I know that Joel is your husband. I lurk at his site more frequently.
This is rather sad. In this trying and most difficult time, the least thing we can do is hold on to HIS Divine grace and providence. God will always grant you strength and He will see you through.
MY prayers are with you and the rest of the family!

But just take your time, no rush.
Take care.
Ofcourse I'll pray for you.
May you get strength and may she not suffer more.
By the way, there is an award for you on my blog.
I lost my Mom last year, age 89, the day before Thanksgiving. I was with her.
Every day that passes, I catch myself thinking that I need to call Mom, but she's not there.
She adopted me @ age 12 & if it wasn't for her & Dad, I don't know what my life would have been.
I learned that losing a loved one isn't their passing (as we all will), but the loneliness that accompanies it.
With the Easter holiday here, let us rejoice (while its hard to do), in knowing that there is indeed life in the hereafter.
God bless & we are with you and Joel.
If you wish, leave me a comment on my blog or EC -- to have a private talk. I know, it's hard. But we are with you.
JL....
Just doing my EC round and read your update.
These days are hard for you. It was so fast...to see someone we love suffer is the hardest.
Keep strong, I prefer to think people go next to the lord because they heve completed their mission here. My thoughts are with you.
A peaceful Easter.
xx
