Get The Kick From Cayenne

Always battling with the 4 pm slump? Beat it with a snack loaded with protein, nutrients and flavor, like a taco. Sprinkle cayenne pepper and a pinch of dried red pepper, this will give your snack a fiery kick that will wake you up. The capsaicin, a compound which gives cayenne pepper its spicy heat, activates neurons in the brain to boost secretion of the energizing hormone adrenaline.

Yum!

The ancients have used cayenne for many things. We now use a variant as pepper spray. Not quite so appealing as the tacos.

I really like spicy food. I'd rather eat a taco than cake or sweets :)

Wow, that's one little unknown fact about peppers. I've always wondered why they had to be spicy.
I'd love to try that sometime, but sadly I don't eat spicy food. :(
