Heartburn Gone!

You are about to snuggle up on the couch when a painful bout of heartburn suddenly hits you. Heartburn occurs when stomach acid creep upward and this happens when the LES or lower esophagus sphincter tightens. Antacids aren't the only solution for heartburn, ginger helps muscles relax. A cup of ginger tea can keep the acid in your LES. To do: Simply combine 1 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root. Steep for a few minutes, then savor with small sips.

Good tip. I always have heart burn, and let me try this.
Ginger root got me through my last pregnancy - I used to add a little honey and lemon to the ginger and water - I would drink it all day long, it's great for nausea.
I am a firm believer in Ginger. I drink cold water with lemon and ginger daily. Yummy! :)
i love ginger thats why i dont have heartburn, hapimonday liz.
Maybe it's me, but ginger makes my heartburn worse. Give me 2 pepcid any day. Better living through chemistry.
