locally we call it gumamela. the flowers are so beautiful. it is the perfect example when you try to study the anatomy of a flower. it reminds me of my childhood years. gumamela used to be a prominent flower in my grandma's home.

Makes me want to board the next flight to Hawaii or the Caribbean. I have always love hibiscus. This one is especially pretty.
I love gardening but I can never grow a hibiscus plant :-( minsan nga, gusto ko nakawin na lang yung sa kapitbahay, ha ha ha!
