The Problem Spider Veins



Consuming just one juicy plum a day can reduce the appearance of spider veins. Thanks to plum's vitamin K that helps produce thrombin, a protein that thickens the blood. The thicker blood is rerouted to larger healthy blood vessels that form spider veins to shrink.


To enjoy the fruit more, try this cooling recipe. In a blender, puree 12 plums (pitted, peeled and sliced), 1 cup orange juice, 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon orange zest. Pour into loaf pan; freeze at least 4 hours. Process 30 minutes before serving; freeze sorbet until ready to eat.
