Ice Cream: Food Poisoning Foiler


Here's one good reason why you should enjoy ice cream this summer; the calcium in ice cream, cheese, yogurt and milk increases the production of acid -- a natural germ killer -- in the GI tract. This lowers the risk of food-borne illness by up to 37 percent. Experts suggest four servings of dairy (yay, 4 scoops!, lol) or 1200 mg of supplemental calcium (sorry but I prefer the yummy treat) per day.
