Taste More

When you stick out your tongue in front of the mirror, do you a white layer covering the top of your tongue? That's plaque and it's caused by leftover food debris and bacteria. Though it is not harmful, experts say, it does interfere with your sense of taste. To get rid of it, use a tongue scraper or a soft-bristled toothbrush and scrub your tongue twice daily. Chewing on a celery or a piece of hard bread can also do the job.

Oh now I know what that white film is on my tongue. I brush my tongue as well after brushing my teeth. Thanks for the tips on chewing celery to get rid of it.

Great tip, usually bad breath comes from not brushing your tongue.

Thanks for being one of my top referrers this month. I posted a thank you at my blog.

What will they think of next. My dentist always told me to brush my tongue after I finish with my teeth....but a tongue scraper...that's cool~

I have no idea why Liza but when reading this post it reminded me of an article I read last year regarding teeth cleaning. The ancient way of cleaning the teeth, gums and tongue apparently was by chewing certain types of sticks and they are now making these available in certain online stores. I wonder if any of your readers have been brave enough to give them a try?

On another note - I use two types of toothbrush - a large soft-bristled one for sensitive teeth and a child's toothbrush. It's surprising how many other areas of the mouth the child's toothbrush appears to get to and clean that the adult one misses!

A very Happy Easter to you Liza ... thank goodness that Spring is now supposedly on the way for I have had enough of Winter this year!
I lkie the idea of chewing on celery. No wonder my mouth feels fresh after chewing on celery. I can't scrap my tongue, it makes me want to vomit.
