The Problem Spider Veins

Consuming just one juicy plum a day can reduce the appearance of spider veins. Thanks to plum's vitamin K that helps produce thrombin, a protein that thickens the blood. The thicker blood is rerouted to larger healthy blood vessels that form spider veins to shrink.

To enjoy the fruit more, try this cooling recipe. In a blender, puree 12 plums (pitted, peeled and sliced), 1 cup orange juice, 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon orange zest. Pour into loaf pan; freeze at least 4 hours. Process 30 minutes before serving; freeze sorbet until ready to eat.

No To Acne!

During my teens, I was often teased because of acne. I used to think of it as a curse because in my family (I have a brother and a sister), I was the only one who was not blessed with good skin. I was a frequent visitor at derma clinics, treating acne was a painful experience for me and it left scars on my skin. So upon reading about the pronexin review, I knew I have to have this ready for my teener, in case he has a breakout. Having experienced the pain and humiliation of acne, I am not allowing my son go through that.

Using Auto Cad

Every building (be it a home, a skyscraper or a bridge) or any other industrial structures (automotive, shipbuilding, aerospace industries, industrial and architectural design, prosthetics, and many more) requires a set of design to demonstrate it in full detail. These designs are meticulously drafted by a team of experts. What used to take them days, weeks or even months to draft a design now takes them lesser time because of cad drawings. This application simplifies their work. And because it's computer-aided, human errors are reduced and detailed measurements are more accurate. Find out more about cad drawings and be ahead among your competitors.

Too Tired

Still with no maid and store helper, I barely have time to sit in front of my computer. With all the chores that I have to attend to every day, I'm already exhausted by nighttime - too tired already to type away on my keyboard. And if not for my mom who volunteered to watch the store for a few hours, I wouldn't have made it to my uncle-in-law's funeral. He passed away last week due to emphysema. It was a quick two weeks. No one knew that he's been suffering from the disease. I wasn't even able to visit him in the hospital nor attend his wake. Uncle, I hope you will forgive me. Uncle's family is not well off, good thing he has his retirement to cover the hospital expenses and his insurance shouldered the funeral cost. It wasn't big but at least there was something left for his family.

Going back, I hope I find a store helper (and a maid!) soon. School will begin in June and once it starts I will surely need a hand.

Looking at the sky on Friday (38)

The other day was one of the hottest days (38.6 degrees) we had since summer started. The photo looks dark because of the tinted glass and though the clouds looked like they were about to pour rain, they didn't. :(

Fight Fatigue with Coconut Water

On hot days, no amount of water can replenish the electrolytes you lose when you sweat. But adequate blood levels of these minerals are key to energy since they help regulate the body's fluid balance. To rescue lost electrolytes, drink coconut water instead of reaching for flavored water. It is a natural mix of energizing electrolytes, including potassium and magnesium. One study proved that it's even more effective at rehydration than a popular sports drink.

Take Years Off Your Age

Did you know that taking hgh supplements can actually make you feel and look younger? I didn't. All the while I thought hgh were made for children to help stimulate their body to full adult size. Along with diet and exercise, this supplement can take years off your age. Growth hormones dramatically decline as we age, and hgh works to rejuvenate the body and help strengthen the immune system. No wonder it has become a popular anti-aging product.

Get Rid Of Acne... for good!

My brother-in-law has never had acne since he was a teen. But now he's having a breakout. Too much stress from work, I suppose. I told him to try exfoliating daily with a washcloth and mild soap to release trapped oil, then apply pronexin. My daughter is using it and it's very effective. Unlike other acne treatments, pronexin is an all natural formula that kills acne fast and keep them away for good. She still has some left in the bottle so I told her to give it to his uncle so he could try.

Wise Indeed!

Remember the three wise men? One of them, Gaspar I think, gifted Jesus with frankincense and it looks like he was up to something then. Frankincense oil has long been heralded for its therapeutic benefits, and it may be an effective alternative therapy for bladder cancer, the fourth most common type of cancer among men. Recent studies show that the herb's oil successfully distinguished cancerous human bladder cells from healthy ones and destroyed the bad ones. It has also been found that the oil of the frankincense also helps clear chest congestion, speeds wound healing, and rejuvenates tired skin. Simply add a few drops to your bath, or blens the oil with sandalwood, lemon or bergamot oil for a soothing massage lube.

Attack The Source

Summer's humidity-induced spike in perspiration levels disperse skin's natural oils all over the body. This then creates the perfect breeding conditions for acne-causing bacteria. And because heat makes our skin softer and opens pores, these microorganisms are more easily absorbed. Experts recommend treating it with Acneticin. It's an acne treatment that works to attack the from inside the body, working at the source. It kills bacteria by getting to the source and stops them from spreading and from coming back.

Black and Blue Marks

Got bruises? Smoothing on cream made with arnica fades those unsightly black and blue marks and quickly soothes pain and swelling. Researchers give credit to the herb's sesquiterpene lactines, compounds that help improve circulation in damaged tissue, boosting the flow of healing nutrients and flushing out pooled blood and inflammatory proteins.

It's Never Too Late

It was hubs' birthday last Tuesday and I still have not given him a gift. I haven't got the time to shop since our maid went on vacation. We didn't even get to celebrate it like we used to, dining out with the whole family. I just cooked and he loved the meal I whipped up for him.

Yup, we had ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and field green salad. I simply marinated the steak with garlic, salt and pepper, lemon juice and a little soy sauce for color, then quickly sauteed them in butter. I didn't have much time in my hands to prepare something fancy so I thought this would do. Well it did and he loved it. :)

Going back, I found something online that I thought he would love to have. Hubs like collecting specialty knives -- switchblades, sog knives , combat knives, etc. We've been married too long and not once have I given him a knife. All the knives in his collection are either bought by him or given by friends. I have nothing against him collecting knives but I don't know why I have not given him any. How insensitive of me. So this time, he's going to get one! My gift may be late but I'm sure he'll be so surprised. :)

Loud and Clear

A good way to keep our hearing crystal clear is to use cotton swabs to rid our ears of wax buildup, right? WRONG! These swabs does just the opposite. It pushes the wax down into the ear canal and can diminish your hearing. Instead of inserting the swab inside your ear canal, simply wipe the opening with the swab. Or just leave your ears alone so wax can dry up and fall out on its own.

For Backaches and Bruises

American Indians relied on herbs, food and rituals to stay well and promote healing. One herb they use to soothe backaches and bruises is arnica. Science proves that this herb blocks the action of histamine, a chemical released by the body that causes inflammation. Arnica also contains pain-relieving compounds. And that combination is powerful enough to ease even chronic aches. Even carpal tunnel sufferers who took the herb attest that they experienced significantly less pain without side effects.

To soothe backaches, massage an arnica ointment or gel into your sore spots.

Fast and Safe Way to Treat Addiction

Many dangerous drugs can be easily bought without prescription and often, these can be bought at groceries, from your local stores or even from friends. It's scary that there's a huge number of people getting addicted to drugs and most of them are teenagers. Addiction for the young ones usually begins as casual experimentation, influence of friends or due to family problems. Despite these dangerous drugs' harmful effects in one's health, the number of kids who are addicted is steadily growing.

Of course an effective treatment first comes to mind when helping a loved one recover from addiction. There are a lot of drug rehabilitation programs and organizations you can choose from to help them to stop using drugs, avoid relapse, and successfully recover their lives. Some rehabilitation centers even offer rapid detox, a new, fast and safe way to treat opiate addiction. It is a disease, yes, but it is treatable. And being an addict doesn't mean they have to be treated without respect and dignity. Have your loved ones treated with utmost care, choose a program that will help them achieve long lasting abstinence and help them change their behaviors to adopt a more healthful lifestyle.

Taste More

When you stick out your tongue in front of the mirror, do you a white layer covering the top of your tongue? That's plaque and it's caused by leftover food debris and bacteria. Though it is not harmful, experts say, it does interfere with your sense of taste. To get rid of it, use a tongue scraper or a soft-bristled toothbrush and scrub your tongue twice daily. Chewing on a celery or a piece of hard bread can also do the job.
